Scana company secures contract within battery energy storage solution in Sweden.
PSW Power & Automation has signed a contract with a Swedish Energy company, for the supply of a 9.1MWh Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS) project in Uddevalla, Sweden. The project includes delivery of BQ-G, a modular BESS, with an integrated energy control solution that optimizes the revenues to our customer from energy trading and frequency regulation.
Sweden expects to more than double its electricity consumption over the next twenty-five years and has set ambitious goals by reaching net-zero emissions by 2045. The energy system will ensure that excess energy is stored and released when needed, and thus ensure a stable and energy-efficient power grid in the region.
This is a sizeable (1) contract for the company. The project will start immediately, and delivery will take place in Q2-2025.
“This 9MWh BESS contract represents a significant milestone for our establishment and delivery to the Swedish market”, says Eirik Sørensen, Managing Director of PSW Power & Automation.
(1) A sizeable contract is defined to be between NOK 20 million and NOK 50 million.
(2) A substantial contract is between NOK 50 million and NOK 150 million.
(3) A large contract is over NOK 150 million.
