Scana company signs contract with Trollhättan Energi for 11.3MWh Battery Energy Storage System
PSW Power & Automation has signed a contract with Trollhättan Energi to deliver three Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) with a total capacity of 11.3MWh, installed on 3 different locations in Sweden. The solution will be used for the Nordic balancing market and the new upcoming local flexibility markets for energy storage. The company has also secured a 5-year maintenance contract of the systems.
“We have secured several contracts during 2023/24 with well-established energy companies in Sweden. It’s part of our strategy to build a robust customer base within the Energy Storage segment going forward, and this contract with Trollhättan Energi is therefore of great importance”, says Eirik Sørensen, Managing Director of PSW Power & Automation.
PSW Power & Automation currently has a project portfolio exceeding 85MWh within Battery Storage Systems, demonstrating a significant role in the Nordic energy transition.
This is a sizeable (1) contract for the company. The project will start immediately, and delivery will take place in Q3-2025.
(1) A sizeable contract is defined to be between NOK 20 million and NOK 50 million.
(2) A substantial contract is between NOK 50 million and NOK 150 million.
(3) A large contract is over NOK 150 million.
